Dr. Hand’s commitment to advancing the science of dentistry during his more than 40 years in practice has distinguished his career. He attended the University of Florida and graduated Emory University School of Dentistry. Dr. Hand participated in the founding of the L.D. Pankey Institute, which is recognized as the leading postgraduate center in the field of dentistry. Completing the course of study there, he also served as a director, trustee and president of the L.D. Pankey Alumni Foundation.
Dr. Hand has been awarded fellowships in the American College of Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentistry International and is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Great Britain.
He has contributed to two textbooks on the subject of diagnosis and treatment of facial pain and temporalmandibular dysfunction, and presented papers at universities throughout the United States and Europe, as well national and local dental societies. Dr. Hand has done clinical research studies with the University of Florida and clinical implant studies for Johnson and Johnson Company.
Having served as President of the Dental Society of Greater Orlando, Dr. Hand is also a member of the American Dental Association, the American Equilibration Society, the American Prosthodontic Society, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the Florida Academy of Practice Management.
Practicing General Dentistry, Dr. Hand has more than 30 years experience in dental implant restoration and complex restorative procedures. Dedicated members of his office staff have made Dr. Hands practice their career, their length of service ranging from 20 to 33 years. Dr. Hand lives in Winter Park with his wife fo 44 years, Theresa. They have four children and four grandchildren. He is a trustee of the Winter Park Public Library, and has served on several city review boards.
Always enthusiastic about his field, Dr. Hand enjoys the continuing opportunity to share with his patients the knowledge and skill he has acquired in cosmetic and complex restorative dental care.
